About the film & cast
Dirty Nasty People is a short documentary (33 mins) about the energy industry and the ever-changing workforce. Our aim with the film and others in the series is to educate and engage the public and new sources of talent to attract the next generation workforce and to put a focus on the people who make energy better! The energy workforce of the future will need to be as large and diverse as the technical solutions that will be needed to offset the effects of Climate Change. DNP hopes to put a singular human focus on what is one of the largest issues of our day. There are already incredible people inside the industry doing the work of developing better energy solutions, and this project highlights just one of them. However, the energy problems of the near future will require the perspectives and know-how of those who have not yet seen themselves as part of the solution. The outsider. The consumer. This project is for them.

When Paul Dufilho, Director of Dirty Nasty People, approached me for this project, I said yes. It’s important we humanize the balance of affordable reliable energy, our environment, and equity. At the center of these things are people, prosperity, and our planet.
The jobs of tomorrow and the skills necessary to equip the energy workforce of the future need more storytelling. I hope this is the start of sharing the opportunities we have in front of us to the challenges we all face as our world addresses big needs that require more energy.
